










P-47 "FT-L" of Glenn Eagleston Low Top Canvas Shoes
This design is based on the P-47 (“FT-L”, serial number 44-20473) flown Maj Glenn T Eagleston, Squadron whilst with the 353rd Fighter Group. Maj Eagleston was known as a "fighter pilot's fighter pilot” and was a leading ace in Europe during WWII credited with 18 ½ victories, two probable victories, and seven damaged and at least 5 destroyed on the ground. He flew almost 100 missions during WWII flying both the P-51 and the P-47 and another 84 missions during the Korean war where he flew the F-86 and is credited with destroying two Mig-15s, one probable and 7 damaged bringing his two-war total to 20 ½ enemy aircraft destroyed in aerial combat. His military decorations include the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross x 4, Bronze Star Medal and Air Medal x 27. Glenn Eagleston passed away May 7th, 1991 aged 70.
