Poseidon MRA1 Union Jack Structured Twill Cap
Powered by two CFM56 turbofan engines, the Poseidon MRA1 is equipped for anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, maritime surveillance, intelligence gathering, and search-and-rescue support duties. The aircraft carries advanced radar, sonar buoy systems, electronic surveillance equipment, torpedoes, and other maritime strike weapons, allowing it to detect and track hostile submarines and surface vessels over long distances. Operated primarily by No. 120 Squadron RAF and No. 201 Squadron RAF from RAF Lossiemouth, the Poseidon became operational with No. 120 Squadron in Apr 2020 and has since become a central part of Britain’s North Atlantic maritime defence capability and NATO anti-submarine operations.
