Hurricane Formation Cork Back Coaster
The Hawker Hurricane was a critical British fighter during World War II, known for its rugged design, versatility, and reliability. Entering service in 1937, it became the RAF’s most numerous fighter during the early years of the war. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the Hurricane had a top speed of 340 mph and was armed with eight .303 Browning machine guns, excelling in both air combat and ground attack roles. It played a pivotal role in the Battle of Britain, accounting for 60% of RAF air victories, while the Spitfire engaged enemy fighters.
Several top RAF aces achieved significant success flying the Hurricane, including Squadron Leader Marmaduke "Pat" Pattle, one of the highest-scoring Allied aces, credited with up to 50 victories, many of them while flying Hurricanes in the North African and Greek campaigns. Over 14,500 Hurricanes were built, serving with Allied air forces across multiple theatres of war. Though often overshadowed by the Spitfire, the Hurricane’s adaptability and reliability made it the backbone of the RAF’s early war effort and a key contributor to Allied success.

This tumbler is printed using a digital inkjet process that transfers the design line by line. Faint horizontal lines may therefore be visible on the finished product. Colours may also appear slightly less bright than they do on screen.
