DH.98 Mosquito Union Jack Structured Twill Cap
The prototype first flew on 25 November 1940. A total of 7,781 were built between 1940 and 1950 in the UK, Canada, and Australia. Powered by two Rolls-Royce Merlin engines, the Mosquito could carry a 4,000 lb bomb load or rockets, and outpace enemy fighters.
Its combat record includes precision strikes like the Amiens Prison raid (Operation Jericho), and missions disrupting German radar and communications. It served in Europe, North Africa, Burma, and the Pacific, with the RAF, RCAF, RAAF, USAAF, and other Allied air forces.
