This design is based on the P-51 Mustang (SX-B, serial number 44-15092) nicknamed “Alabama Rammer Jammer” flown by Lt. Arthur C. Cundy of the 352nd Fighter Squadron, 357th Fighter Group.

Lt Cundy was a verified ace with 6-victories; however, on March 11th, 1945, he was declared missing in action after a mission over the North Sea. It was reported that his engine had developed a coolant leak; at which point he turned back for England. He was last seen diving into the undercast at 6,000 feet, on fire. A search of the area by the 5th Emergency Rescue Squadron Thunderbolts found only an oil slick and traces of debris; his body was never recovered.

His military decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, and Air Medal with 9 oak leaf clusters and the Purple Heart.
