Operation Torch Tufted Floor Pillow, Round

$38.99 USD $42.82 USD

Operation Torch, launched on 8 November 1942, was the Allied invasion of French North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) to secure the region and prepare for the invasion of Southern Europe. The United States contributed over 100,000 troops, amphibious forces, and aircraft like P-38 Lightnings and B-17 Flying Fortresses. To prevent friendly fire, Allied aircraft carried special yellow Operation Torch markings, including a prominent yellow ring around the national insignia and yellow-painted wing panels, ensuring quick identification during the campaign. This operation marked the U.S. Army's first major involvement in the European-North African Theatre of World War
