This design is inspired by the A-10 Warthog of the 122nd Fighter Wing. The 122nd Fighter Wing, based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a unit of the Indiana Air National Guard with a rich history. Nicknamed the "Blacksnakes," the wing traces its origins back to World War II when it was initially formed as the 358th Fighter Group. The unit was re-designated several times before becoming the 122nd Fighter Wing in 1992.

Throughout its history, the 122nd has flown various aircraft, from P-47 Thunderbolts during World War II to the F-16 Fighting Falcon then the A-10 Thunderbolt IIs in the modern era. The wing's emblem, featuring a black snake, reflects its agility and tenacity in combat. Notably, the 122nd Fighter Wing has played a key role in numerous conflicts, including operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, showcasing its capabilities in close air support and combat search and rescue missions. In October 2023, the wing began to convert back to the F-16.

Some truly unique Warbird merch that I absolutely love. I bought a Thunder Bird bag to match my T-bird shoes and tumbler :-)
