Did You Know?This design is based on the P-51 Mustang (HL-B, serial number 44-15459) nicknamed “American Beauty / Lovely Lila” flown by Captain John Voll of the 308th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Group. Captain Voll was the highest scoring P-51 Mustang ace of WWII and the top USAAF ace of the Mediterranean Theatre of Operation (MTO) with 21 victories – all whilst flying the P-51. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star x2, Distinguished Flying Cross x 2, Bronze Star and 30 x Air Medals
